On Wednesday, KSHSAA announced its sub-state volleyball brackets for Saturday’s tournaments.
Iola will be the four-seed in their 4A bracket and face off with top-seed and No. 5 team in the state Santa Fe Trail in Burlington at 2 p.m. The other half of Iola’s bracket features 4A’s No. 1 team and the sub-state’s three-seed Topeka-Hayden and against the state’s No. 2 team and second-seeded Burlington.
Humboldt is the two-seed in their 3A bracket at Arma. They will face seven-seeded Cherryvale in the first round at 2 p.m. Northeast Arma is the top-seed in that sub-state.
Marmaton Valley and Yates Center both will be headed to Oswego for their 2A sub-state. Eight-seeded Yates Center will have a 2 p.m., match with top-seeded Oswego. Fourth-seeded Marmaton Valley will have the next match and face fifth-seeded Sedan.
Southern Coffey County will be the four seed in St. Paul’s 1A-DI sub-state bracket. They will play the fifth-seeded host school at 2 p.m.
Crest is the three-seed in Waverly’s 1A-DII sub-state bracket. They face two-seed MdCV in the third match of the day.
