MORAN — The visiting Vikings from Northeast-Arma High pillaged the Marmaton Valley High scoreboard Tuesday evening.
Northeast opened the Marmaton Valley Preseason Tournament with a 34-point explosion against the host Wildcat boys.
Northeast never looked back, rolling to a 95-28 win.
The loss drops Marmaton Valley to 0-2 on the season. The Wildcats resume play Thursday in the round-robin tournament against Olpe, which topped West Elk 50-40 in their first-round contest.
The Wildcats may not see the likes of Northeast’s Drew Mills again in the tournament, fortuitous for the home team.
Mills poured in 32 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead the Vikings, which led 55-13 at halftime and 80-23 after three quarters.
Micheal Genn paced Marmaton Valley with nine points. Brady Newman and Keagan Boyd followed with seven apiece.
J.T. Richardson and Dennis Hensley added 14 and 11 points, respectively, for the Vikings.
