Wildcats crush Titans in final road game

After leading by 31 points entering the fourth quarter, the Yates Center Wildcats began preparation for Friday's regular season finale a bit early Tuesday night against SCC.

The Yates Center Wildcats defeated Southern Coffey County Tuesday, 41-11. 

Junior guard Cayten Cummings had a team-leading 14 points in her abbreviated night of work, followed by sophomore McKynzee Burkholder with eight points, then freshman Khloey Deeder-Kirkpatrick with seven points.

SCC’s freshman guard Brooklyn Marlow scored all of her team’s points.

The Wildcats experienced a slight downturn in the third quarter, sitting comfortable with a 31-point lead. 

With the win Yates Center improved to 10-12 and 7-6 in Three Rivers League play. 

Yates Center has one last game before opening the postseason as they host Crest 6 p.m. Friday.
