Deb Danielson, a quality improvement coach with Child Care Aware of Eastern Kansas, read aloud from the children’s book “Worm Weather” Friday morning to youngsters in Robin Manbeck’s My Second Home Daycare Center in LaHarpe. Danielson was among the participants Thursday evening for a resource fair for local daycare providers. The event was held at The Growing Place in Humboldt, and also featured representatives from the Kansas Department of Children and Families, The Southeast Kansas Education Service Center at Greenbush, Allen Community College, Grow At Eden and Thrive Allen County. Danielson took the opportunity to make an extra stop at one of the daycares to provide additional resource information, and to get a chance to visit with a group of eager-eyed youngsters.
