Larry L. Waddell, 68, of Savonburg died Thursday, March 10, 2011.
He was born Dec. 26, 1942, in Humansville, Mo., to George and Leota Mae (Adams) Waddell. He attended school in Kincaid. Following school he entered the U.S. Army.
In 1961, he married Nancy Ramsey. They later divorced.
He was a truck driver and later a crane operator. His work took him all over the country. He lived in Pittsburg and Gas. Following his retirement he lived in Eureka before moving to Savonburg, where he had lived for the last eight years.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and sightseeing.
He is survived by two daughters, Lorraine Wohler, Excelsior Springs, Mo., and Lorri Dean, Shawnee; four brothers, Ronnie, Indianapolis, Ind., Walt, Butler, Mo., Jerry, South Coffeyville, Okla., and David, Ottawa; one sister, Kathy Waddell, St. Paul; his mother, Leota Waddell, Moran; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, three brothers, Dale, Danny and Terry, and a daughter, Lavon Waddell, in 1986.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Kincaid United Methodist Church. Private family burial will the service.
