Warren R. Park, 65, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree, Colo. He was born May 4, 1948, in Oakley to Aubrey “Cub” and Jessie (Swart) Park. He was owner of Swart-Park Motors, Inc., Oakley.
He married Cora Lee (Vavricka Samuelson) on Dec. 28, 2007, in Colby. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Nancy Windsor (Tom). Survivors are his wife Cora Lee; sons Matt (Cristy), Oakley, and Andrew, D.O., (Megha), Kansas City, Mo.; daughter Wendy Parsons (Pat), Oakley; stepsons Mark and Steven Samuelson, Oakley; brother, Wade Park, Iola; and sister, Karen Gilpin (Jim), Iola; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was at 10 a.m. today at Buffalo Bill Cultural Center, Oakley, with interment in the Oakley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Wild West Historical Foundation, Logan Co. Shrine Club, and Oakley Kids Wrestling Club in care of Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, PO Box 221, Oakley, KS 67748.
