ACC track competes at Friends

The Allen men’s and women’s track teams competed at the Friends University Spring Open last weekend in Wichita. 

The meet marked the first time this season that the athletes got to compete in nice weather and it showed.

In a meet with mostly four-year schools mixed amongst nine community colleges, the ACC men took 10th overall. The women finished 21st. 

Rashion Walker led the way with a second- place finish in the 400 with a time of 48.24. Robin Anderson came in fifth in the 200 with a time of 21.39 and Josh Doria finished fifth in the 800 (1:56.34).

Joel Fane and Michael Knowels also finished in the top 10 in the 800 with a seventh (1:56.82) and ninth (1:57.37) place finish. 

Yoel Yoel continued his stellar season with a third-place finish in the 1500 with a time of 3:56.81 and Joshua Clethen took 10th (4:01.36). 

Jeremiah Revere placed fourth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 56.33. 

The men’s 4×100 team of Anderson, Walker, Revere and Ricardo Watson placed 10th with a time of 48.81. 

 

FOR THE WOMEN, Betty Ramos placed sixth in the 1500 with a time of 5:14.41 and Sanise Seabrook took eighth in the high jump with a jump of 4’10.5”.

The Red Devils will head back to Wichita this weekend to compete at the KT Woodman Classic at Cessna Stadium.
