INDEPENDENCE — Members of the Allen County Wrestling Club continue to rack up wins on the mat.
Three wrapped up a perfect week by taking first place finishes at Saturday’s Independence Open, as well one week earlier at the Pittsburg Open.
T.J. Taylor, Trenton Jones and Seth Sanford each took home first place at both events. William Jay, meanwhile, was first in Independence and third at Pittsburg.
Alejandro Vargas was second at Independence and fourth in Pittsburg. Adam Atwell was third in Independence, fourth in Pittsburg. Korbin Cloud finished in fourth place at both events. Payton Houk was fourth in Independence, fifth at Pittsburg.
Ryan West was fifth at Independence. He did not place in the top five at Pittsburg.
Competing solely at Pittsburg were Landon Boldra and Jeremy Ridge, each in second place, Conner Sallee, third, Jaaron Griffin, fourth, and Gage Scheibmeir, fifth. Zander Reed and Tripp Chapman also competed Saturday, but did not place.
The wrestlers will compete Sunday in Louisburg.
