PLEASANTON — Crest Middle School’s Lancers squeezed out a 28-24 win over host Pleasaston Junior High’s Blu-Jays Thursday.
Rene Rodriguez scored three touchdowns and a two-point conversion for the Lancers. Austin Green had a touchdown run and Braden McGhee ran in a two-point conversion.
Rodriguez rushed for 150 yards and caught the only pass for 10 yards. McGhee rushed for 60 yards. Green had 10 yards rushing and completed 1 of 2 passes.
Rodriguez and Green also led the defense with nine and seven tackles, respectively. Green and Codi Vermillion each had five tackles.
Evan Godderz made four tackles and intercepted a pass. Kellen Ramsey had four tackles. Hunter Frazell made three tackles and forced a fumble.
Crest (2-2) is at Marmaton Valley next Thursday.
