Cubs, Lady Cubs top local athletes

The Humboldt Cubs and Lady Cubs bested the local competition while hosting the Humboldt Invitational Thursday at the Humboldt Sports Complex.

The Humboldt Cubs and Lady Cubs may have benefitted from homefield advantage while finishing first among all area teams at Thursday’s Humboldt Invitational.

The Lady Cubs finished fifth out of 15 teams while the Cubs finished eighth, but Crest, Iola, Southern Coffey County and Yates Center were not far behind, garnering multiple medals while competing inside the Humboldt Sports Complex Thursday.
