Eagles dominate volleyball matches

OSWEGO — Uniontown High’s Eagles were too much for Altoona-Midway High’s Jets or their hosts, Oswego High’s Indians, on Thursday.
The Eagle girls downed Oswego 25-8, 25-12. Hayden Rathbun served for 16 points and had two kills. Jacy Ermel downed six kills and Jessie Camac had four kills.
Tayler Shook was credited with 13 set assists. Tiffany Poyner had 14 digs.
Against Altoona-Midway, the Eagles won 25.3, 25-14. Ermel had 11 service points and seven kills. Jessica Murrow served up 12 points.
Ashley Nietfeld had five kills. Shook had 11 assists and Lauren Rockhold had nine assists. Poyner had 11 digs.
“The girls play very intense, aggressive and smart,” said Jackie Hall, UHS head coach.
Uniontown’s junior varsity volleyball team beat Oswego 25-9, 25-8. Hope Jurgensen had 12 points. Abby Dixon had four kills.
Next Thursday, the  Eagle varsity is at Riverton.
