Fillies’ JV goes winless

FORT SCOTT — The Iola High girls’ junior varsity went 0-3 in the Fort Scott High JV Invitational basketball tournament over the weekend.
The Fillies concluded play Saturday with a 45-17 loss to host Fort Scott and a 67-16 loss to Parsons.
“As young and inexperienced as we are it was a tough weekend,” said Mark Percy, IHS assistant coach. “We got playing time and experience for these girls. We just have to work on the little things to get better.”
Against Fort Scott, Lisa McFadden led the Fillies with eight points. Emily Ware added four. Katie Kelley and Libby Shay had two points each. Reagan Ford had one point.
In the Parsons game, Emma Sigg tossed in eight points and Shay had four. Ware and Katie Thompson each scored two points.
