Five MVHS players earn honors

With the football season just a week away from wrapping up, leagues are beginning to release their All-League honors. Earlier this week, five different Marmaton Valley football players were named All-Three Rivers League including two players who earned multiple honors.

Senior Isaac Heskett pulled down first-team offensive guard and defensive linemen honors after a stellar final year in a Wildcat jersey.

Heskett had 70 total tackles including four sacks and two forced fumbles. Heskett also had 138 rushing yards and four touchdowns and 79 receiving yards and one touchdown. 

Also inking his way on the first team was senior running back Caiden Elliot who ended the year with 558 yards and nine touchdowns in addition to 400 passing yards and four touchdowns as the team’s wildcat quarterback. He also grabbed 84 receiving yards.

Bo Knavel earned first-team center honors along with an honorable mention at defensive lineman. Knavel ended the year with 58 total tackles and three forced fumbles.

Also earning first-team honors was sophomore William Lowder at linebacker. Lowder ended the season with 123 tackles, one sack, an interception and three forced fumbles.

Lastly, senior Gage Griffith earned honorable mention as a defensive back after recording 48 tackles and an interception.

The Wildcats ended their season at 3-6 after a close 32-28 loss to Lost Springs in the first round of the playoffs.
