Standouts on the Marmaton Valley and Crest teams made the Three Rivers All-League eight man football squad.
Marmaton Valley had four players selected for their play this season.
Trent Johnson earned first-team honors as a punter. He averaged 30 yards per punt for 752 yards on 25 punts.
Shaun Frye grabbed honorable mention honors as a tight end and as a linebacker. He had 14 receptions for 221 yards and four touchdowns, along with 20 rushing yards on three attempts. On defense, Fry had 35 tackles, two interceptions and three recovered fumbles. He scored three defensive touchdowns.
Michael Beggs earned honorable mention honors for his play at defensive back. He was only thrown to 15 times, while allowing just three catches all season. He had three pass break-ups and 17 tackles.
Keagan Boyd secured an honorable mention spot as a special teams player. He had 25 kickoff returns for 527 yards and two touchdowns. He also had four punt returns for 100 yards and two touchdowns.
Crest had five players earn recognition for the season.
Rene Rodriguez earned honorable mention as a kicker and running back. He had 53 carries for 472 rushing yards. His longest run of the season was 49 yards and he scored eight touchdowns.
Codi Vermillion was selected as honorable mention for the defensive line. He had 72 tackles — 37 solo — with four sacks.
Brandon Brallier earned honorable mention for his play at linebacker. He had 62 total tackles and two sacks.
Austin Green also earned honorable mention, but as a defensive back. He had 50 total tackles, one sack and an interception.
Kyler Bowen was selected for honorable mention as a defensive back and punter. He had 21 total tackles and two interceptions on defense. As a punter, he averaged 39.1 yards per punt.
Marmaton Valley finished the year 2-7 and Crest finished 5-4. Each team improved on its win total from the year before.
