WICHITA — Former Iola High kicking standout Connor Frazell will suit up for the Wichita Force, a team in the Champions Indoor Football League.
Success has followed Frazell and his right leg through high school and college.
He was a two-time all-state performer for the Mustangs, hitting 48 of 52 extra points in his high school career. He also drilled 13 field gaols, including a 50-yarder.
A 2010 IHS graduate, Frazell is the son of Tammi and the late Jay Don Frazell.
From there, he moved to Butler Community College, where he earned All-Jayhawk Conference honors. He later transferred to Pittsburg State University, where he earned all MIAA Special Teams Player of the Year honors in 2014, as well as third-team NCAA Division II All-American honors on offense. He was twice named MIAA Special Teams Player of the Week his senior season.
“I moved to Wichita to pursue my dream of playing football after college,” Frazell said on the Wichita Force’s team website. “I’m excited to get a full season of kicking in this year, and to help the Force in any way that I can.”
Frazell joined the Force for three games in 2015. He had 23 kickoffs for a total of 1,080 yards and hit five of 13 field goals, including one from 55 yards.
The Wichita Force season begins in March.
