Freshman Fillies get court time

Iola High’s freshman dropped a 25-8, 25-17 decision to Uniontown in the third-place match of Saturday’s Iola High Freshman/C-team Invitational.
The Fillies went 0-4-1 in the tournament.
Iola split a two-game match with Central Heights. The Fillies won 25-20 then lost 27-25.
Uniontown beat Iola 25-10, 25-10 in the round-robin match. Paola defeated Iola 25-8, 25-10 and Burlington beat Iola 25-3, 25-11.
According to Iola High assistant coach Jeff Fehr, Iola’s top servers for the day were Paige Miller, Emma Sigg and Rebecca Cunningham. Mackenzie Weseloh led the team in assists.
Miller, Sigg and Halie Cleaver were team leaders in kills.
The freshmen are at Independence tonight.
