INDEPENDENCE — Iola High’s freshman volleyball team lost three matches Tuesday.
The Fillies lost to host Independence 25-11, 25-10. They dropped a tough, three-game match, 25-13, 24-26, 15-9, to Fort Scott.
Chanute beat the Fillies 25-9, 25-9.
Iola High assistant coach Jeff Fehr said MacKenzie Weseloh led the team in serving and assists. Halie Cleaver was also a top server.
Alexis Hobbs and Rebecca Cunningham were Iola’s leading net attackers.
The Iola freshmen play at the Parsons High Invitational freshman tournament Saturday.
