Bailey Ambrosier, granddaughter of Sid and Alice Williamson of Gas, is ranked sixth in Kansas Class 3A girls’ pole vault. Ambrosier is a freshman at Norton Community High School.
Ambrosier has gone over 9 feet, 6 inches this season. She took second in the pole vault recently at the Plainville Invitational track meet with a vault of 8’6”.
She also competes in the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes and is on the 4×400-meter relay team. Ambrosier is at today’s Class 3A regional track meet at Phillipsburg, “hoping to make it to state this year,” said Alice Williamson.
Ambrosier is the daughter of 1988 Iola High graduate Diana (Williamson) and Wade Ambrosier of Norton.
