BURLINGTON — Iola Middle School’s seventh-grade boys and eighth-grade boys nailed down team championships at the Burlington Middle School Invitational track meet Monday. The meet was moved from last Friday because of rain.
The Pony eighth-grade boys racked up 134 points to win ahead of second-place Central Heights with 85 points. Iola’s seventh-grade boys won their division of the eight-team meet with 87 points.
Iola’s seventh-grade girls were second with 86 points. Chase County won the division. Burlington ran away with the eighth-grade girls’ division with 126 points. Iola was fifth with 30 points.
It was the final track meet of the season for the IMS teams.
