COFFEYVILLE — The winning streak continues. Iola High’s golf team won the Coffeyville Golf Invitational on Tuesday to extend their regular season winning streak to 11 going back to last season. They are now 6-0 this year as a team.
Iola’s win wasn’t all that close. Iola shot a 325 overall. Labette County High School — the second place team — finished 27 strokes behind with a 352.
Kaden Macha shot a 76 for first place. This is his second win of the season, and he took second place in the four other tournaments. Shane Walden finished in third place and shot a 79. Adam Peterson took fifth place with an 83. Drake Dieker shot an 87 for 11th. Matt Jacobs finished with a 90 for 16th.
Iola heads to Chanute on Monday and finishes the regular season at Garnett on Tuesday. Their regional is at Osawatomie on May 18.
