PARSONS — Iola High’s golf team did what it does best — win. The Mustangs won their fifth tournament of the season on Thursday at Parsons with a score of 321. The closest team, Labette, shot a 339.
Iola is now five-for-five, winning each tournament they’ve played. The team have won 10-straight regular season tournaments dating back to last season. The only one they didn’t win, was they placed third at the Class 4A State Tournament last season.
Kaden Macha took second overall at the tourney, with a score of 76. Shane Walden followed in fourth place, shooting a 78. Drake Dieker took seventh, finishing with an 83. Adam Peterson finished one stroke behind in ninth place. Matt Jacobs placed 18th with a 90.
The team heads to Coffeyville Tuesday.
