LAWRENCE — Iola High seniors Kendra Taiclet and Kelsey Larson competed in the KU Relays Friday.
Taiclet went into the high school division’s 100-meter high hurdles ranked 34th. She finished 25th in 16.47 seconds out of the 40 girls accepted to compete in the event.
The top eight move into the finals.
Larson threw in the high school girls’ javelin event. Competing on a sprained ankle, Larson had a distance of 109 feet, 1 inch placing 16th. There were 24 in the competition and Larson was ranked 24th going into event.
