Iola High’s junior varsity and C team squads picked up wins Monday against Crest.
In the JV affair, the Mustangs took control with a 24-10 third-quarter run to defeat the Lancers, 74-52.
The Mustang C team, meanwhile, brought home a 65-27 victory.
In the JV game, Iola led 17-10 after one quarter and 33-26 at the break before the decisive third quarter.
A balanced scoring attack paced Iola. Travis Wanker and Cody Wille shared high-scoring honors with 16 apiece, while Mac Leonard and Landon Weide scored nine each and Eli Adams had eight.
Crest meanwhile, was led by Karter Miller, who drilled three 3-pointers en route to a game-high 18. Holden Barker chipped in with 13, while Ethan Godderz added 12.
IOLA started on a high note in the C team contest, and picked up speed from there.
The Mustangs led 13-5 after one period and 28-15 at the break. They expanded the margin through the third quarter, leading 47-27, before ending the contest on an 18-0 run.
Landon Weide and Gage Skahan each had 12 points in the victory. Isaac McCullough and Kolton Greathouse were next with 10 apiece.
Ryan Golden and Jack White provided all of Crests scoring, notching 14 and 13, respectively.
