HUMBOLDT — The Humboldt High Lady Cubs’ “struggle to make two-foot shots” continued Friday night, contributing to their loss against the Erie Red Devils.
Despite the 46-19 loss, Humboldt coach Sherri Nelson was optimistic about what the Cubs can do to turn their season around.
“Although we had 22 turnovers, it still would have only been a one-point game if we could’ve finished the 12 layups that we took and missed,” she said. “All the things we need to fix to win the game are minor, and that is a good thing.”
Morgan Morris led the team in scoring with four, along with Lakota Wilson. Brea Kline and Karsyn Menzie each had three points. Sheri Middleton brought down eight boards, and had two blocks.
Humboldt travels to Eureka Tuesday.
