CHERRYVALE — Humboldt Middle School’s A-team picked up a win on the volleyball court Thursday, sweeping host Cherryvale, 25-15, 25-14.
“The girls really played their game tonight,” head coach Terry Meadows said. “Their serving was really on.”
Rylan Wilhite led the Lady Cubs with seven kills, followed by Sydney Houk with five and Kassie Angleton with four. Camrie Farran and Wilhite had 10 and six assists, respectively. Aricah McCall contributed eight digs, while Houk had five. Farran had nine ace serves; McCall had six.
Humboldt’s B-team fell 25-19, 25-20. Kaiti Carpenter and Lizzie Myers had one kill each. Sadie Houk had three digs. Sydney Barker and Kaylie Johnson each had one assist.
The C-team won 25-11, 25-20 and lost 25-10, 25-17 in a pair of matches.
Riley Brown racked up 19 ace serves, followed by Tori White with 11, Zoey Rinehart with five and Hannah Riebel with four.
