The Crest Lady Lancers are back on track after winning Thursday’s defensive battle 34-16 over Pleasanton.

After shutting out Pleasanton in the first quarter, then limiting them to 6 points in the first half, the Crest Lady Lancers cruised to victory with an across-the-board offensive effort.

A trio of free throws and a field goal from sophomore forward Summer Valentine got the Lady Lancers rolling. A pair of field goals by senior guard Aylee Beckmon and junior guard Jaycee Schmidt put Pleasanton out of contention early as Crest locked down their seventh Three Rivers League victory while improving their overall record to 12-3.

Schmidt finished the night with 8 points. Valentine and senior forward Kinley Edgerton posted 7 points apiece. Freshman forward Gracyn Ellington had 6 points while Beckmon had 5 points.

Crest hosted Central Heights Friday. Results were not available at press time. They host Chetopa Tuesday with the junior varsity tipping off at 5 p.m.
