The Crest Lancers maintained their position in the Three Rivers League after crushing Central Heights 66-45 Friday.
After falling to Pleasanton earlier in the week, the Lancers rebounded in stunning fashion, jumping out to a 24-point lead by halftime.
Junior guard Lane Yocham put Central Heights in Crest’s rearview early after draining six 3-pointers in the first quarter for 18 of his team-leading 26 points, including seven 3-pointers.
Sophomore guard Kole Walter was also hot behind the arc with four 3-pointers for 16 points as the Lancers cruised to victory.
Other contributors include Crest freshman Koi Miller with 9 points. Senior forward Levi Prasko posted 6 points.
Junior guard Xanders Fuller posted a 3-pointer and freshman guard Ty Coberly had a bucket.
With the win, the Lancers improved to 12-4 overall and 7-2 for third in the TRL standings behind undefeated Southeast and Pleasanton.
They hosted Chetopa Tuesday. The results from the contest were not available at press time.
Lady Lancers trample Lady Vikings 51-36
The Lady Lancers are on a two-game win streak after pounding Central Heights 51-36 Friday.
Crest senior guard Aylee Beckmon got hot early and never cooled down as she posted a team-leading 16 points while leading the Lady Lancers to a 30-11 lead by halftime.
Crest junior guard Jaycee Schmidt posted a trio of 3-pointers in the first half for nine of her 11 total points.
Senior forward Kinley Edgerton was third in scoring with 9 points, mostly coming in the second half, while freshman forward Gracyn Ellington posted 8 points and senior guard Kailin Nilges put up 6 points.
With the win, the Lady Lancers improved to 13-3 and 8-1 in TRL play. They returned to the hardwood Tuesday for a 6 p.m. tip-off against Chetopa. The results from the game were not available at press time.
