A pair of Iola golfers had identical scores while tying for 20th place at Tuesday’s Santa Fe Trail Invitational.

Iola High School senior Briley Prather and IHS junior Brooklyn Holloway each wrapped up the round 25 over par at the Lamont Hill Golf Course.

Prather’s pairing may have given her a bit of a weighted score. Baldwin standout and tournament champion Peyton Wright, as well as Ottawa runner-up Kathy Gillett were both in Prather’s group. Iola coach Jeremy Sellman said that may have had Prather playing a bit out of her comfort zone.

Prather carded a 60, as did Holloway, who Sellman credited for growing in confidence as the tournament progressed. Prather and Holloway hope to improve their scores Thursday at the Girard Invitational, held at the links of the Crawford Hills Golf Course. Tee-time is 3 p.m.
