Allen Community College sophomore Yolaine Luthi received national recognition after NJCAA officials recognized her as an All-American.
Luthi was named to the NJCAA All-American second team. She becomes the first Red Devil since 1990 to receive NJCAA All-America honors and just the third player in the program’s history.
Luthi was one of only four D-II Jayhawk Conference players to receive NJCAA All-American recognition and previously recieved All First Team KJCCC honors. A native of Madison, Luthi appeared in 24 games for Allen this season, starting 20 games. She recorded 94 field goals while shooting 34.9% from the floor and 50% from beyond the arc.
Defensively, Luthi had 144 rebounds, including 71 offensive and 73 defensive rebounds — averaging six boards per game, while adding 25 steals and four blocks.
