PITTSBURG — Seth Sanford captured two medals at Saturday’s Pittsburg Kids Wrestling Club’s Pittsburg Open tournament.
Allen County Kids Wrestling Club’s Sanford placed first in the 12-and-under 190-pound bracket. He took second in the 14-and-under 190-pound class.
Andrew Garber was first in the 14-and-under 160-pound bracket. Trevor Tomlinson placed third in the 115-pound class in 14-and-under.
In 8-and-under action, T.J. Taylor was first at 46 pounds. Clay Shannon earned second in the 64-pound class and Trenton Jones was second at 88 pounds. Cooper Woods finished fifth in the 52-pound class.
Mattix Cole claimed the gold medal at 61 pounds in the 6-and-under division. Curt Shannon was second at 37 pounds.
Taking third place in their respective weight classes were Landon Boldra at 40 pounds, Titus Jones at 46 pounds, Payton Houk at 49 pounds and Alejandro Bargas at 95 pounds.
The Allen County Mat Warriors go to Independence this weekend.
