ST. PAUL — Marmaton Valley Hight’s girls had a rough go of it Friday against unbeaten St. Paul.
The host Indians led 9-2 after one quarter and 29-6 at halftime of what became a 49-24 victory.
Three St. Paul players scored in double figures, while its defense kept Marmaton Valley in check all night.
Payton Scharff led the Wildcats with eight points, Aly Ard added seven and Janae Granere five.
Elise Doherty and Elaine Struthers both scored 15 to pace St. Paul.
St. Paul also cruised in the junior varsity game, winning 27-1 in a two-quarter game. Khiana Haynes had Marmaton Valley’s only point, on a free throw in the second quarter.
Marmaton Valley is back in action at home Tuesday against Lebo.
