MORAN — Marmaton Valley Junior High hosted Uniontown and Crest Thursday to wrap up the basketball season.
Marmaton Valley’s girls beat Crest 29-8 and Uniontown 21-9. The Wildcat A-team finished with an 8-5 record.
Uniontown defeated Crest 30-27.
Against Crest, Samantha Root led the Wildcats with eight points. Scoring four points each were Tessa Olson, Kyla Drake, Tanna Lutz and Mackenzie Tynon.
Cheyenne English added three points and Molly Hamlin had two.
Crest got six points from Miranda Golden and two from Madison Covey.
Netting three three-point field goals, Samantha Root led Marmaton Valley with 11 points in the win over Uniontown. English had four points while Lindsey McNeil scored two and Drake and Mariah Root each had one point.
For Crest against Uniontown, Miranda Covey had nine points and Madison Kellar scored eight. Laurel Godderz had four points. Scoring two points each were Taryn Covey, Golden and Brooklynn Gray-LaCross.
