Titan teams sweep doubleheader with Eagle teams

LE ROY — Southern Coffey County High’s Lady Titans and Titans came off tough losses Monday to St. Paul High’s teams to capture big wins at home Tuesday.
Southern Coffey County’s Lady Titans outlasted visiting Uniontown High’s Eagles 66-60. The Eagles scored 30 points in the final period but SCCH girls tossed in 23.
Kristin Stephens scored 27 points for the Lady Titans while Ashton Isch added 20 and Samantha Jacob had 14.
The Eagle girls got 17 points from Breanna Esslinger and 13 from Hayden Rathbun. Tayler Shook added 12 and Hope Jurgensen scored 10.
The Titans cruised past the Eagle boys, 53-26. They led 25-9 at halftime.
Travis Bryan fired in 21 points for the Titans. Aaron Ludolph chipped in with 10 points. Seth Sympson led the Eagles with 10 points.
On Monday, the Lady Titans lost 49-29 to St. Paul. Stephens had eight points.
The Titans dropped a 52-51 decision to St. Paul in overtime. Bryan had 18 points and Ludolph scored 16.
