Ralph Charles “Chuck” Shafer, age 60, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025, in Iola, Kan.

He was born Aug. 19, 1964, in Iola to Ralph and Lurleen (Cummins) Shafer. He graduated from Iola High School in 1982. After high school, he worked at Midland Brake. He then helped open and operate Midwest Production Solutions (MPS) in Moran, Kan.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and Amber Weide.

Survivors include his children, Ralph Caston Shafer, Bayleigh Weide, and Khloeigh Shafer; siblings, Donna Diebolt, Glenda Isaacson, JoAnne Michael, Catherine (Dave) Hall, and Rhonda (Vance) Baker.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 2 at The Venue, Feuerbon Family Funeral. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 3 at the funeral home, with burial to immediately follow at Highland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Iola Recreation Center.
