CHERRYVALE — Three Humboldt Middle School wrestlers won league titles at Thursday’s Tri-Valley League Tournament in Cherryvale.
Kenady Lucke, wrestling at 106 pounds, 148-pounder Dakota Haigler and heavyweight Orval LeClair won their respective TVL titles during Thursday’s round-robin tournament.
Myriads of other Humboldt grapplers from a variety of weight classes medaled at the tournament.
Lucke took gold after rolling consecutive pins on second place Pazilee Odell of Fredonia and third place Cheyenne Brooks of Caney Valley.
Haigler picked up a pair of pins on Michael Ellington, then capped off the tournament by scooping the head of Shaiden Allen of Neodesha to secure the pin and the 142-pound title.
According to Trackwrestling.com, LeClair won by default with no one else in his bracket.

Silver medalists
At 91 pounds, Azahlynn Wilkerson took second after a loss to Tyler Arnold of Bluestem, then defeated Jentry Stallsmith of Caney Valley via pin in the third period.
Peyton Weilert (100) fell via 11-2 decision to eventual champion Brooklyn Loader of Caney, then took silver after rebounding with her own major decision victory, 20-8, over Emma Martin of Cherryvale.
Kyndal Mathes took second after falling to Autumn Ecret of Cherryvale, then pinned Chloe White of Neodesha in round three.
Mylan Sterling (114) opened the tournament with a heartbreaking 17-14 loss via decision but regained her composure in the final round for second place after pinning Meikenna Rienhart of Fredonia.
Hadlee Allen (118) opened the tournament with a loss via pin to Layla Lemendola of Neodesha, then rebounded for an 8-0 major decision over Veleria Campa-Garcia of Bluestem.
Kahleeya Blackwell (164) had a pin of Kynzie Garner of Bluestem, then fell in the championship match via pin to Blaine Martin of Caney Valley.
Marcus Whitcomb (126) took second after with a pin of Wyatt Edmonds of Caney Valley but fell via pin in round to McCoy Boss of Fredonia. 
After opening the tournament with a loss to Marcus Pearce of Eureka, Lincoln Gwillim (132) took second with a 10-6 decision over Syler Eaton of Fredonia.
At 138 pounds, Jaxson Gillespie rebounded from a first round loss to eventual champion Lawson Adams of Neodesha with a pin of his own for second in round three.
