YATES CENTER — Southern Coffey County High’s girl’s basketball took sixth place at the Yates Center Wildcat Classic Friday night.
Before losing the fifth place game against Lebo Friday, the girls beat Altoona 62-14 on Thursday.
“The girls played a good all-around game,” coach Jeff True said. “We shot the ball and rebounded well. We did a nice job on the defensive end.”
The Lady Titans had nine players score in the game, shooting 54 percent from the field.
On Friday, SCC lost to Lebo 55 to 25.
“We didn’t do a good job of taking care of the ball, especially against Lebo’s press,” True said.
The team turned the ball over 19 times.
SCC has a chance at redemption when they host Lebo tonight, with the junior varsity games beginning at 4 p.m.
