Area volleyball players named All-Three Rivers League

The 2025 high school volleyball season may be just wrapping up, but fall sports awards are just rolling in for many area volleyball players.

Multiple area volleyball players received a bit of recognition after the Three Rivers League announced its 2025 All-TRL Team.

Yates Center junior outside hitter Cayten Cummings was a first team selection while leading the Wildcats to a 21-14 record and fourth in the TRL at 12-2. 

Although Yates Center had plenty of weapons at their disposal, Cummings was the Wildcats’ go-to arm with a team-leading 337 kills. Cummings was also reliable on the back line with a team-leading line with 301 digs and showed her agility skills with 11 blocks despite playing on the outside. Cummings also had a team-leading 61 aces.

Also for the Wildcats, senior outside hitter Kinley Morrison received an All-TRL honorable mention. She had 133 kills, was second to Cummings in aces with 54. On defense, she had a team-leading 24 blocks and 112 digs despite seeing most of her action at the edge of the net.

Crest High School had three players recognized. Senior middle blocker Kinley Edgerton, senior outside hitter Kaelin Nilges and senior outside hitter Aylee Beckmon were each honored with Edgerton and Nilges receiving second team honors while Beckmon was an honorable mention.

Nilges had a team-leading 145 kills, Beckmon had 105 and Edgerton logged 98 kills. Nilges edged Beckmon with 68 aces to Beckmon’s 67 and Edgerton’s 63.

Defensively, Nilges and Edgerton miraculously tied in digs with 102 each while Beckmon had 97. At the net, Edgerton had an astounding 62 blocks while Nilges had 19 and Beckmon had eight. The Lady Lancers ended their season at the sub-state tournament in a sweep to Olpe. They finished with a 16-17 record and fifth in the TRL at 10-5.
