HUMBOLDT — A slow start did in Humboldt High’s girls Friday in a 41-27 loss to Erie.
The defeat came in the third and final round of Humboldt’s preseason tournament.
Humboldt (1-3 overall) went 1-2 in tournament play.
“Although we started slowly, we came out in the second half and played a lot harder,” Lady Cub head coach Sherri Nelson said. “We still were plagued by a lot of fouls, which is something we are going to have to get better at.”
Brea Kline led Humbodlt with six points, followed by Cheyenne English with five. Lakota Wilson, Sheri Middleton and Kayle Riebel all scored four points, while Whitney Strack and Megan Hudlin scored two apiece.
Humboldt hosts Yates Center Tuesday.
