The Iola Ponies’ eighth-grade A team defeated Coffeyville, 23-9, on Tuesday.
Elysia Kunkler led the team with 11 points while also adding six rebounds. Kelsey Morrison had a team-high 10 boards.
“Our energy tonight was great,” coach Marty Taylor said. “The girls got to every loose ball and played well as a team.”
The seventh-grade A team lost, 23-7. The combined B team lost, 12-7.
